When it comes to a party I love a good Philadelphia cream cheese dip recipe. This easy pepperoncini cream cheese dip recipe with oregano and black pepper is a crowd pleaser. And if you don't like this one, this post includes 9 other favorite cream cheese dip recipes I love!

Pepperoncini Philadelphia cream cheese dip recipe this …

I'm told all the big games are coming up and as far as I'm concerned a game isn't a game without a Philadelphia cream cheese dip recipe.

To be honest it's the only thing that makes the game worth watching.

Well, the dip and the commercials!

I have no need to see Taylor Swift, though I do like her music, but I've never been an obsessed fan.

So it's on to Philadelphia cream cheese dip recipes that you will want to make for your next party!

Cold dips:

I have a smoked fish dip made with cream cheese that I adore.

Just 5 simple ingredients in this party favorite.

Just throw everything in a food processor and you are done.

Garnish with chopped fresh chives or scallions, and watch this disappear.

And just a friendly tip, leftovers are perfect on a toasted bagel!

Tahini dip with whipped cream cheese is a bit lighter than dips made with a brick of cream cheese.

Easily made with whipped cream cheese, tahini and sour cream; this dip is the perfect way to make tahini lovers.

Drizzle it with olive oil, chile flakes and sesame seeds, this one is great served with pita chips.

Don't forget beer cheese dip.

Two key ingredients are horseradish and beer, along with the standard dip ingredients of cream cheese, sour cream and mayonnaise.

Serve with Ritz crackers or pretzels and you have a great appetizer that is sure to please.

This one is also great stored in the fridge for snacks!

Beer Cheese Dip

Bacon, bourbon, mushroom dip is made with cream cheese, sour cream, crisp bacon bits, sauteed mushrooms and bourbon.

This savory dip is hearty and delicious and is a great dip to make, especially for bourbon lovers.

Bacon, Bourbon and Mushroom Dip

Cream Cheese Onion dip is my absolute fave.

Better than onion dip bought at the grocery, this one combines cream cheese, green onions, sour cream, an onion and a chopped onion along with a dash of Worcestershire sauce and a squeeze of anchovy paste to make a phenomenal onion dip!

Perfect with potato chips!

Roasted poblano onion dip is made with lots of green chilies or poblanos, cream cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise and chili powder.

Add in some garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce and sauteed onions, along with some Parmesan cheese and this dip is ready for game day.

No need to heat this one up!

It is great served with tortilla chips.

poblano onion dip Hot Dips:

I love this cheesy green chile dip with pepper jelly for dipping.

Perfect for those who love Mexican recipes, this one has some kick and is a great change from queso.

And it is just 6 ingredients.

Serve with extra hot sauce if you must.

Pepper Jam Cheese Party Dip

Who doesn't love Buffalo chicken dip?

Go ahead and make it with full-fat cream cheese, grab a beer and settle in-just make sure to settle in away from this awesome dip or you may eat the whole thing!

I make mine straight up with lots of Buffalo sauce and skip the ranch dressing mix that many add.

I suppose you can make the Ranch dressing to serve with veggies but I guess I've never been a Ranch dressing fan.

Serve it with celery sticks or other fresh-cut veggies to make it a bit healthier.

Personally, I serve it over toast for dinner!

Peppery Onion Crack dip recipe is made with lots of onions, cream cheese, mayonnaise, and lots of black pepper.

Add in some Parmesan cheese and bake until the top gets crusty.

Just 4 ingredients, not counting the pepper, and you will be in heaven!

Probably not something you want to eat on a medically restrictive diet!

Crack Peppery Baked Onion Dip

My latest favorite dip that is sitting in my fridge begging me to eat it (which makes me not want to open the fridge),  is simple enough to make.

It could be adapted many ways but I love its pepperoncini topping and that it is flavored with oregano and black pepper.

Trust me. Oregano isn't just for pizza.

How To Make This Pepperoncini Philadelphia Cream Cheese Dip Recipe:

Saute a medium onion in oil until golden brown and softened.

Set aside.

Pulse room temperature cream cheese and mayonnaise in a food processor until smooth, or use an immersion blender like I do.

Shred the cheese and set aside one half cup.

Toss the cornstarch with the rest of the shredded cheddar cheese and Monterey Jack so that the cheese is coated. Set aside.

This will help your dip not separate.

Mix the cream cheese mixture with the cream cheese mixture, add the onions, and season with oregano, salt and pepper.

You could use pepper flakes, but I preferred black pepper.

Top with the remaining grated cheese.

Spread into a 1 quart baking dish and bake dip until golden and bubbly.

Let cool and then top with chopped pepperoncinis.

When your husband isn't home to eat it, store the leftover dip in an airtight container until he gets home!

I actually have it in the serving dish, wrapped well with plastic wrap, until he makes it home from caring for his father.

How To Serve this Philadelphia Cream Cheese Dip Recipe:

I love serving this with potato chips because I love potato chips!

And they even make pepperoncini potato chips.

However this cream cheese dip would also be great with raw veggies such as carrot or celery sticks and sliced peppers.

Sturdy crackers or crostini baguettes are perfect, too!

Variations:

This is a good dip that can be adapted in so many ways.

Don't want pepperoncinis? Use green chiles, roasted red peppers, chopped olives, or pickled jalapenos.

Don't want oregano? Add in some chopped chives or scallions, or even some everything bagel seasoning would be great in this.

In that case you could even top this dip with smoked salmon! Yum!

A few tips when making any cream cheese dip recipe:

Always start with softened cream cheese. It makes blending the cream cheese so much easier.

Also the more time dips have to sit, the more flavorful they become.

And always try to serve dips at room temperature unless it is a hot dip.

The flavor is so much better and besides chips break if the dip is ice cold!

Use light cream cheese to save calories.

Never be afraid to add fresh herbs.

Try to stay away from pre-shredded cheese.

It isn't as fresh, contains chemicals and doesn't melt as well.

For fun, come up with your own house dip.

Make any of these your next great recipe and when serving them have fun.

A Philadelphia cream cheese dip recipe requires just a few basic ingredients and is perfect for family gatherings.

I'd love to know your favorite Philadelphia cream cheese dip recipe!

Because as far as I'm concerned one can never have too many dips to choose from!
