Description

I love this simple feta dip recipe. A little sweet, a bit more spicy and a bit of salt from the feta cheese makes this irresistable!

Ingredients

Units Scale

1 8 oz chunk of feta

1 orange sliced in thick slices

2 T spicy honey or your choice

2 T olive oil

Herbs of choice such as oregano, fennel, mint, basil

Pepper: Black, Aleppo, Urfa

Lemon wedges

Instructions

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

Place the orange slices on the bottom of a small oven-proof dish. Top with the square of feta. Or slice the square in half horizontally through the middle and fill the dish. You can also add a handful of olives to the baking dish. (The possibilities are endless!)

Drizzle olive oil on top. Bake for about 8 minutes. Feta should not be melted and should still feel firm.

Heat the honey in the microwave until liquid. When feta is removed from the oven, brush with the honey and broil until the top of the cheese browns and the honey is golden-don’t let it burn!

Sprinkle with pepper and fresh herbs. Add a squeeze of lemon.

Serve with warm pita, pita chips and the chili tangerine olives. I had matzo on hand so I used that!
