Description

Cheese stuffed dates wrapped with bacon are the perfect party appetizer. Easy to make and  the salty sweet flavors pair extremely well with your favorite cocktail!


Ingredients

24 pitted Medjool dates

6 oz creamy goat cheese or see other options above

12 slices thin bacon, cut in half and at room temperature

Spicy honey to drizzle or fresh ground black pepper for garnish


Instructions

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

Line a large rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.

Stuff each date with a spoonful of goat cheese and press together.

Wrap each date with bacon and tuck bacon ends underneath.

Bake for about 20 to 25 minutes or until bacon is just about crisp. It will crisp a bit more while cooling.

Drizzle with honey or sprinkle with black pepper when removed from oven.

Let cool a few minutes before serving.


Notes

Date appetizers can be prepped and stored in the refrigerator until ready to bake. Just bring to room temperature before baking.

Baked date appetizers an be kept at room room temperature for several hours before serving.

Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge and eaten as a snack.
